Founded in 1994 in Zermatt, Stoked is a story of passion, pioneering spirit and perseverance. 

What began as a bold idea by three brothers – Christian, Jürg and Michael Meier – has grown into one of Zermatt's most established and trusted names in snow sports and mountain experiences.

Originally arriving in Zermatt to work as snowboard instructors, the Meier brothers faced an early challenge: the local ski school did not accept patented snowboard instructors. Rather than turning back, they pushed forward. Christian Meier, the "Grüezini" from Aargau, decided to take matters into his own hands, and founded Stoked – one of the first private snowboard schools in the canton of Valais.

At first, their vision was met with resistance. But thanks to their unwavering dedication and love for the mountains, Stoked earned its place in the Zermatt community and soon became a respected force in local winter sports. In 1999, the school expanded to offer ski lessons and guiding, further establishing itself as a full-service provider for mountain lovers from around the world.

Today, Stoked stands for more than just instruction – it represents a lifestyle. Whether it's skiing, snowboarding, mountain adventures or tailor-made experiences, the Stoked team brings passion, professionalism and an authentic connection to the Alps to every moment.
